Through generous contributions, Building Blocks for Kids has helped over 150 families in four short years – 70 in 2006 alone.

If you are unable to run/walk the race and would like to make a donation you can send the donations to 3L Steve Alsip or Ashleigh Ramsey at 6000 Mayflower Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45237 and make the checks out to Building Blocks Race. To register for the race go to….. http://www.sprunning.com.

Volunteer for Nightwalk Safety Board, Raise Funds

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

Fellow UC Student Groups,

The Nightwalk Safety Board is looking for student groups to occupy three weekly shifts for the upcoming year. The three available shifts are:

Friday nights, 11pm-2am
Saturday nights, 8pm-11pm
Saturday nights, 11pm-2am

Volunteering for Nightwalk is a tremendous opportunity to earn community service hours, as well as meet new people and promote your organization to the UC community. In addition, some groups may be qualified to be paid for their services.

If you are interested in more details about volunteering, please e-mail Brad Stephens at stephebp@email.uc.edu or NSB at ucnightwalk@gmail.com .

As many of those who have used Nightwalk in the past can attest, this is a great chance for your group to make a positive impact and have a fun experience here at UC. Please consider having your group sign up for one of the available shifts.

Thanks,
Brad Stephens

Lawn Party This Friday 9/14!!!!

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

Fellow Students, Faculty and Staff:

Come help the SBA celebrate William Howard Taft’s birthday (per usual, he will be dressed in proper luau attire) this Friday at the lawn next to the law school. There will be a cook-out, with burgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers provided, as well as typical cook-out side dishes. Dogs, family members, and significant others are welcome. The event starts at 5pm and will last until 10pm. Soft drinks and beer will also be provided. Please feel free to challenge Patrick Hayes to a cornhole tournament after he is done grilling your food. After 10pm, the party will move to Woody’s for more free beer until the kegs run out. This is one of the most fun events of the year, so we look forward to seeing you there!

Very Truly Yours,

Team SBA
