SBA Meeting Agenda for September 10, 2007

    1. Secretary’s Report—Mandy Shoemaker
      1. Nothing new
    1. Treasurer’s Report—Scott Brenner
      1. So far only two people have turned reimbursement forms in to Scott. Make sure that you fill these out early and get them to Scott so that you don’t lose a receipt or forget to ask for reimbursement until the end of the year!
    2. Vice President’s Report—Whitney Sheff – Not here
      1. Upcoming Events
        1. 9/14—Lawn Party / Taft Birthday
          1. Will begin at 5pm on the lawn outside the law school. We will most likely start grilling at 5:30pm.
        2. 9/22—Community Service – Information to come from Kitty
        3. 9/28—Great American Ballpark: Reds v. Cubs
          1. The tickets will be sent to Patrick soon so look for a sign up e-mail to make sure you get your tickets

        1. Instead of Community service day or week as we had discussed we are going to be having several opportunities to volunteer over the year and we’ll have a party at the end of the year for those who participate in two.
          1. Upcoming events
            1. Light the Night Walk for Leukemia/Lymphoma Society - Thursday, September 20th: 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
            2. Starfire Council event - Saturday, September 22nd: Matt Dolan charity walk for Starfire Council at Kestral Point picnic shelter at Winton Woods park from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
            3. Saturday, September 29th: Walk to Stop AIDS at Sawyer Point to benefit STOP AIDS Cincinnati (formerly AVOC). Registration at 8 a.m., walk starts at 9.Look for e-mails from Kitty regarding dates and email her at fariaska@email.uc.edu to let her know if you’re interested and she will get the information regarding the event to you!
            4. You don’t have to walk/run. There are also other positions that need to be filled.

          1. There was a discussion and a vote to add $100 to both the Hispanic Law Students Association and the Asian/Pacific Law Students Association budgets that passed
          2. There was a discussion and a vote to add $250 to the Student Ambassadors budget as well that passed
