On Saturday, October 13th, the Student Bar Association will be
planning a trip to the Keeneland Race Track in Lexington, KY. Last
year this event was a great time and we’re looking forward to making
this year’s event even better. Information on Keeneland itself can be
found at the following website: www.keeneland.com. The schedule is as
follows:
8:30am - Meet at the Law School. Prepare any last minute supplies.
9:00am - Departure
11:00am - Tailgate
1:15pm - Races begin
5:15pm - Last race
5:30-5:45pm - Busses depart (Warning: BE ON THE BUS AT THIS TIME OR
RISK BEING LEFT!)
We have alread filled one bus and the other is quickly filling!!!
For those that have never been to Keeneland, this is a fantastic
event. It truly is world-renowned Kentucky horseracing at its finest.
To sign up, please email uclawsba@gmail.com as soon as possible. This
event is completely open–law students are allowed to bring as many
friends as are interested. Ticket price will likely be $10. This will
include the bus ride both to and from the track, and drinks (beer,
soda, water) and snacks at the tailgate before the races start. The
sign-up will be conducted in a first-come, first-serve basis. We hope
to see you there!
